Aim of the project is to enable the Ukrainian agro-food companies in terms of their capacity to identify European export markets to penetrate these, to consolidate and to grow as well as to prepare for the opening of their own markets; furthermore, German companies are to be better informed on agricultural trade issues with the Ukraine.
TARGET GROUP
1. The primary target groups comprise
-Ukrainian Ministry for Agricultural Policy and Food (MoAPF)
-Ukrainian agricultural producers/processors/dealers who already export or would like to export in the future.
2. The secondary target groups comprise
- other Ukrainian state and/or private organisations and associations that deal with the DCFTA in general and in particular provide support for exporters;
- Ukrainian economic service providers and economic promotion organisations;
- German companies and consumers who benefit from the greater range and scope of agricultural produce and food imported from Ukraine.
PROJECT PARTNERS
Political partner in Germany is the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL). Political partner in Ukraine is the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine (MoAPF). Operative partners are MoAPF (for help desk) and selected Ukrainian research institutes.
IMPLEMENTING AGENCIES
The project is implemented by AFC Consultants International and IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH in collaboration with Humboldt University Berlin.
